Symbiosis International

Aysa is 35 years old. Her husband’s name is kader hossian. He is 45 years old. They live vill-Atlora, thana-Seeripur,Dist-Gazipur. They have 2 daughters and one son. Aysa’s family is very poor. There income was not sufficient to support their family. Aysa did not know how to read and write. One day Symbiosis staff went to Atlora for survey and meet Avsa. After listening all her past symbiosis staff advised her to join into our new functional education group. She was encouraged by us and joined into the functional education group.

After successfully completing the functional education this group started savings. Every week they put their savings money in the savings group. All the members came the weekly meeting and they decided many things for their development. When Aysa knew how to read and write, she starts thinking to remove her family’s poverty and passing their future life. They have three children. She shared her problem with other savings group members and other group members allowed her to receive loan of taka 3000 from the group with only few interest rate. With that money she opened a betele-nut shop and she with her husband sells betele-nut and earn money. Their everyday’s income in now 200-300 taka per day. Now they are very happy and they passing their life happily. Their children going to school regularly.

Analysis: Significant change happened to Ayas’s life. Initially she was in lots of financial trouble but now she is earning well and she can read, write and able to do some small calculation as well. She and her family are very pleased to Symbiosis Bangladesh and thanks to Symbiosis Bangladesh.
